CHANGELOG.md gains a `[0.8.29]` section above `[0.8.28]` covering
the scroll-demon structural fix, the #1395 wrong-project Ctrl+R
fix, MCP HTTP proxy support, MCP discovery skip-malformed, note
commands, AGENTS.md merge, CJK Auto routing, sync-cnb hardening,
and the 4-PR test coverage batch.
README.md and README.zh-CN.md "What's New" sections rewritten to
match (v0.8.27 → v0.8.29). The `prompts::tests::changelog_entry_exists_for_current_package_version`
integration test pins the CHANGELOG-must-have-current-version
invariant.

Replaces the v0.8.25 / v0.8.26 What's New sections with the v0.8.27
headline summary across both READMEs. Covers cross-terminal flicker
fix, long-text wrap, pager copy-out, context-sensitive Ctrl+C, MCP
auto-reload, notify tool, onboarding localization, paste UX rebuild,
/skills filter + diagnostic hints, and the 17 community PRs.

CHANGELOG additions:
- Top-line credit summary: wplll, Liu-Vince, Giggitycountless,
SamhandsomeLee, barjatiyasaurabh, tyculw, hongyuatcufe, ljlbit.
- New "Added" section properly documenting #1196 (cache-aware
diagnostics, /cache inspect, /cache warmup, payload optimization,
Project Context Pack). Calls out that the Pack is default-on, adds
~1–10 KB to every prompt, and how to opt out via
[context] project_pack = false.
- Per-item issue reporter credits across the Fixed section.
- Removed #1129 from the i18n entry — that's a separate bug we did
not actually fix (wrong env var name in HTTP system prompt).
README updates: rewrote the "What's New" section in both README.md
and README.zh-CN.md to v0.8.24 with all the same credits and the
project_pack opt-out note.
## Summary
- Prefer a writable named Docker volume for the container home data path.
- Document the non-root UID/GID ownership requirement for host bind mounts.
- Update README and Docker docs examples to avoid permission-denied first runs.
## Test plan
- git diff --check
- GitHub CI green: version drift, lint, ubuntu, macOS, Windows, npm wrapper smoke, GitGuardian
* fix(config): keep DeepSeek beta endpoint for legacy cn alias
* fix(ci): filter download-artifact to deepseek* pattern
Prevents the release aggregation job from picking up non-binary
artifacts (e.g. Docker .dockerbuild cache layers) that cause the
checksum manifest to include spurious entries and the Release to
carry files it shouldn't.
* fix(tui): enable focus events to restore IME after app-switch
On macOS, switching away (Cmd+Tab) and back suspends the IME compositor.
Without focus-event handling, the TUI never signals readiness to the
terminal, so CJK input methods (Pinyin, Zhuyin, etc.) stop working.
- EnableFocusChange on startup so the terminal reports FocusGained/FocusLost
- Re-push KeyboardEnhancementFlags on FocusGained (some terminals reset
the enhanced keyboard mode on focus-loss)
- DisableFocusChange on shutdown for clean terminal handoff
* chore: cargo fmt
* docs: add DataWhale and DeepSeek to acknowledgments
* docs: fix DeepSeek name etymology in acknowledgments
* fix(tui): recapture viewport on focus restore
* docs: thank DeepSeek and DataWhale bilingually

Surface the existing `deepseek update` self-update command in the
English and Chinese README command listings so users can discover it
without reading source. The `deepseek update` subcommand has shipped
since the dispatcher gained `crates/cli/src/update.rs`.
This integration takes only the README slice from #838. The startup
GitHub-Releases polling check from the same PR is intentionally
deferred until it can be made opt-in / config-backed without adding
unconditional network calls or perceptible startup latency.
Integrates #838.

Integrates the useful custom HTTP header support from #881 onto current main.
- support root, provider-specific, and DEEPSEEK_HTTP_HEADERS overrides
- apply validated extra headers to model API requests while preserving protected Authorization and Content-Type defaults
- document the config shape in README, config.example.toml, and docs/CONFIGURATION.md

The skill registry already walks workspace-local `.claude/skills` for
Claude Code interop, plus global `~/.agents/skills` and
`~/.deepseek/skills`. Picking up the global `~/.claude/skills` brings
DeepSeek TUI in line with the broader Claude-ecosystem convention so
users can inherit skills installed for other Claude-compatible tools
without re-authoring them in DeepSeek's native layout.
Adds `claude_global_skills_dir()` mirroring `agents_global_skills_dir()`
and inserts it into `skills_directories()` between the agentskills.io
global and the DeepSeek-native global. Workspace candidates still win
on name conflicts; first-match-wins is preserved.
Tests:
- claude_global_skills_dir_returns_home_relative_path
- existing_skill_dirs_orders_globals_agents_then_claude_then_deepseek
- All 55 pre-existing skills tests still pass
Docs synced (README publishing-skills section, CONFIGURATION).
docs/COMPETITIVE_ANALYSIS.md already advertised this lookup; this
brings the implementation in line with the documented contract.

- README Usage block now documents `deepseek resume <SESSION_ID>` and
`deepseek fork <SESSION_ID>`. Both commands have existed since v0.7
but were undiscoverable; #682 reported "no way to resume."
- New GitHub Actions for issue triage (#688):
* triage.yml — keyword-driven auto-labeller (bug / feat / docs /
question, area:* by file-path mention, os:*,
lang:zh on CJK titles). Only adds labels that
already exist on the repo so it can't create
noise unilaterally.
* stale.yml — 14 d stale → 7 d close on `needs-info` issues
only; PRs untouched; respects pinned/keep-open/
bug/security exemptions.
* spam-lockdown.yml — auto-closes promotional issues from accounts
<30 days old. Pure github-script (no
third-party action) so the matching rules
stay readable.
- CHANGELOG (v0.8.12) updated: README install rewrite (#672), Scoop
(#696), pricing extension (#692), Resume docs surface, and the
cargo-install-on-stable fix from the previous commit. Lease
"pending" caveat removed since it's now actually fixed.
