Hunter Bown 07be656412 style: cargo fmt --all sweep ...

Applies the workspace formatter to the v0.8.5 commits — local builds
ran without `cargo fmt --check` so a few format inconsistencies
slipped through and CI's `parity` job (which runs fmt --check) failed.
Mechanical reflow only; no functional changes.
